The problem we set out to solve
AccidentBureau started with something we kept watching go wrong, year after year — and a conviction that it didn’t have to stay that way.
A crash upends everything at once. Someone is hurt, suddenly behind on work and bills, and facing a claims process no one ever taught them — while on the other side, an insurance company that does this every day has every reason to pay out as little as it can.
The information that would protect them isn’t secret. It’s just scattered, written in language built for lawyers, and buried under websites that care more about selling a lead than answering a question. The people who most need a straight answer are, right at that moment, the least able to go find one.
Even the basic paperwork is a maze. The official crash report — the document an injury claim depends on — doesn’t just arrive in the mail. It has to be tracked down from the right agency, requested on the right form, and paid for, all while someone is still trying to recover.

AccidentBureau is a small, independent team based in South Carolina — founded by a legal professional who watched accident victims struggle with something that should be simple. We’d rather grow slowly and well than fast and badly. Right now we serve South Carolina, starting in the Charleston area, and we’ll add a new region only when we can do real, useful, local work there.
We know the shortcuts this industry takes — and AccidentBureau is built to refuse them. Your information is never sold to a pool of firms. The service is free because the attorneys in our network pay for it, not because there’s a cost waiting for you later. And the free, do-it-yourself route is always shown plainly, never hidden to make us look more necessary than we are.
A commitment we intend to put in writing
Most of what protects an accident victim from a bad referral experience comes down to a company choosing to behave well. We don’t think something that important should rest on goodwill alone. Our long-term plan is to run AccidentBureau as a public benefit corporation — a for-profit structure that writes a public mission straight into the company’s legal charter. It would make the duty to genuinely help accident victims something we’re bound to, not just something we say on a page like this one.
